Buying insurance online
After payment, your sticker and green card will be delivered by courier (Econt) within 2 business days to the address or office you have chosen.
Yes. You will receive a reminder 45 days before the policy expires, along with information on how to take out a new one.
Insurance coverage begins on the date specified in the policy.
The policy is issued immediately upon receipt of payment or on the specific start date specified in the document.
The insurance must be in the name of the registered owner of the vehicle. It is important that the details match those on the vehicle registration document.
Factors such as driver experience, age, vehicle power and type, and accident history affect the final price. Younger drivers and those with less experience usually have higher premiums.
All documents are available in your personal Trusti account, where you can download them at any time.
Currently, Trusti offers insurance for cars intended for personal use. In the future, the scope will be expanded to include other vehicles.
Policy and Coverage
Yes. You can take out a new motor insurance policy up to 45 days before your current policy expires. Trusti will help you find the best deal and avoid any gaps in coverage.
Yes. Within a single profile, you can take out insurance for as many cars as you wish.
Civil liability insurance is mandatory for all vehicles in Bulgaria. It covers damages that the vehicle owner may cause to third parties—property damage, bodily injury, or death.
Typically, coverage includes:
Medical expenses and compensation for injured third parties.
Property damage, such as repair or replacement of damaged property.
It is important to note that civil liability insurance does not cover damage to your vehicle or your own injuries. For these risks, additional comprehensive insurance is required.
After taking out the insurance, you will receive a copy of the policy by email. You can always download it from your personal profile on Trusti.
If you are involved in an insurance event outside the country, you must provide a valid green card and notify the local authorities.
It is valid throughout the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Individual countries may have specific requirements, so it is advisable to check these before traveling.
You do not need to cancel the insurance. When selling the car, the new owner can issue an addendum and take over the policy.

Claims
If your car is stolen, you must immediately report it to the police by calling 112 or going to the nearest police station. In addition, you must notify your insurance company within 24 hours.
In case of an accident:
1. Notify the police and report the accident. They will draw up a report, which you will need.
2. Fill out a two-party accident report (if applicable).
3. Visit the insurance company of the driver at fault or contact your insurer.
The insurance claim is submitted directly to the insurance company of the driver at fault. This can be done online via the company's website, by email, or in person at their office.
If the civil liability insurance premium has not been paid, the policy is considered invalid. In this case, the damages and expenses resulting from the accident will not be covered by the insurer and you will bear full financial responsibility.
Canceling your MTPL
Yes, you can cancel your civil liability insurance at any time, regardless of the reason.
To terminate the policy, you must contact your insurer and state your wish to cancel. You must provide a reason, such as selling the car or switching to a new insurer. After submitting the documents, the insurer will cancel the policy and inform you of any refund of the unused portion of the premium.
Yes. If you have paid the premium and terminate the policy early, you are entitled to a refund of the unused portion of the amount. The insurer will notify you of the exact amount and how to receive it.
